Former Employee - Summer Associate in Fort Washington, PA

    Pros

Leadership is transparent about the state of the business. Management has many official development plans to ensure fairness in evaluation of work.

    Cons

J&J prides itself on its brands, even though the Consumer brands are worthless with no differentiation from private label. The company allocates no money to Consumer. The factories are disgusting with little quality assurance, resulting in the recalls. Marketers have huge egos yet pride themselves on the amazing "people" at J&J. These people have problems spelling out when there's a problem and are awful at giving feedback (i.e., they don't provide any). They hate employees who like to challenge the norm.
Awful work/life balance -- marketers often work 8am-7pm.
The business is going down as a result of the product supply issues, and there's no recovery in sight.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize strong workers instead of kiss-ups.
