Pros

Flexibility, independence, talking with patients and assessing them is GREAT! Hand written forms are concise, but anxious for computorized system will be welcome!

Cons

The most concerning thing for me is the instbility of the company in the last year. A very involved founder left July 2012, Key clinical staff who had been there for more 10 years. A new CEO with no understanding of mental health. And his management style is far from supportive-more dictator like. Insurance credentialing issues. The clinicians and mid management are GREAT.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clinicians are working hard in the field and need support from corporate. Clinicians are your best asset!

I have been working at MedOptions

    Pros

The only pro at this point is the work itself.

    Cons

Leadership and management have no respect for employees. Outsourced recruiters lure you in with promises of full time salary and benefits. Then once you realize you cannot see 17 plus patients a day for five days a week, you will be paid a much lower rate without benefits and time off. And when you do want time off, you have to find your own coverage and ask over one month in advance. When you have a problem with a facility or anything for that matter, management and corporate will not return calls or emails. Policies change without notice and clinicians are asked to attend meetings, do paperwork, call families, etc without pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect and value your clinicians. They are the revenue source.
