I have been working at MedStar Health

Pros

Respect for family life but not by Senior Mgmt

Cons

Stingy with promotion, pay and titles except for Senior Mgmt, who pays themselves very well.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership makes its money off of the hard work of the employees and should give more back to the workforce in terms of recognition, promotion and pay increase. The workforce are not fools to believe 2 percent raises over 3 years are due to the "recession".

A team culture until a change on the leadership team created brutal competition amongst the most senior leaders.

    I worked at MedStar Health

    Pros

The Hospitals and the hard working staff are the ones that allow MedStar to thrive. The benefits and compensation package are great at all levels.

    Cons

Corporate Senior Leaders do not get along and are out to destroy one another to increase their salaries and bonuses. The ones that get ahead are the ones that lead by fear. They create scapegoats and in-fighting which is desructive to any company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Board should look for a new leadership team. One that can work together and care about the patients and the employees.
