Pros

Good salary and benefits. Good performance is rewarded accordingly. Genuine interest in support from immediate manager in your career advancement.

Cons

Customer oriented training, though good, is going through a period of "over management" where responses and interactions with customers are too scripted.

    Pros

The compensation was good. The option to work from home is great.

    Cons

Upper management expects CSRs to care about customers when it is obvious the company only cares about the bottom line. Anytime you set a limit on how much each person can credit or release an email stating how much the company can save by lowering AHT by 3 seconds, there is no way that the customer comes first. So if management thinks they're an afterthought, so should I. CEO managed to get a huge bonus but somehow, CSRs were told they had to pay to get into Christmas party. If I have to pay then it is not a party. It is a fund raiser. Management lowered the AHT but added more information to be given on each call. Often Medco will adminster a plans benefits but will have no information for CSRs to access for the plan. How can a company be so inadequately prepared?

    Advice to Management

Your employees aren't idiots. Medco provides newsletters each quarter indicating surging profits but they still laid off people? Just be honest and admit that the increased bonuses for Snow and others is what causes these layoffs. The amount of credit Medco issues for mistakes that are made on the dispensing end (not the CSR end) is where you lose money. Fix that issue. Also update the member database CSRs use and I'm sure AHT will drop. Less downtime for one to locate member info/pricing means less time the CSR is on the call.
