We're in uncertain times, so of course Medtronic has to look out for their bottom line and if that means trimming some fat, then they're going to do so. Communication is lacking from senior management. Over the last year, many of the employees have found out about significant changes in the company through the rumor mill faster than from any management source.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep up to date with what's going on in this volatile environment and quit giving employees the same song and dance every time changes are occurring. Give your employees a little credit for being rational, thinking and intelligent human beings.
