I have been working at Medtronic full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Good pay and benefits in an industry that helps people. How fast you get promoted or move up I. The company depends on your work ethic.

Cons

Top down management. Some times they spend more money fixing a problem rather than getting rid of the problem.

I worked at Medtronic full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits (even though they seem to be decreasing). The working environment decently laid back - some are overloaded and working at a frantic pace, while others are the polar opposite.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy. Very heavy on management. Receiving credit for rectifying major problems or being an integral part of a "fire fighting" team more often than not leads nowhere. The company seems to be more interested in hiring engineers to do technician work than having a defined role.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone has their specified role - so hire for that type of work. Give people the credit they deserve and promote, promote, promote!

    Recommends
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
