Empower your employees. This will utilize the resources that you have to make the company better. People were a focus of the founder and has been lost.

The culture is geared to reward you if you are considered high potential.

    I worked at Medtronic

    Pros

Benefits, one of the largest employers in Sonoma County, employees are easy to get along with, easy commute within Santa Rosa.

    Cons

Culture - Management identifies "high potential" employees and focuses most of their reward and incentive programs on this 3% employee base. No real development potential for you if you do not fit into this 3% base. Management has a "live to work" mentality and fails to recognize that many employees who "work to live" do add value to the company overall. Gone are the days when you can accept a position and adhere strictly to your job description. If you fail to go "above and beyond" that job description, you will most likely be part of their next wave of layoffs. They do not recognize a good, stable employee as valuable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize ALL employees as valuable - not just the over achievers.
