    I worked at Meineke

    Pros

    Easy job. Consisted of travling to stores and helping franchisees.
    Ok compensation
    Most franchisees easy to work with
    Company car.

    Cons

    Upper management not in touch with Fanchisees
    Long hours
    Red tape
    Awful Goals
    Copy cat syndrome. Management follows competitors instead of leading

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start hirihg people that actually have worked in the automitive business instead of hiring former accountants, sales people and marketing gurus who have no clue about today's automotive repair market.

    I have been working at Meineke

    Pros

    Good base salary, with opportunity to earn great commission at most stores. Management team in the Indianapolis Area was great to work for.

    Cons

    Lots of hours. When a technician doesn't show up to work, manager has to take on responsibilities of technician in busy stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    At the slower stores, there needs to be a different commission structure to keep managers montivated. Some perks, even if not monetary, may go a long way in keeping managers and technicians happy.
