- Very competitive international opportunities if you take your chance
- Steep learning curve
- Relatively flat management

Cons

- Hard work, time consuming
- Not for everyone

    I worked at Meltwater Group full-time

    Pros

    Great coworkers. Everybody is very nice, big smiles and high-fives all around all the time. Lots of social stuff.
    Also nice offices with a good location.
    Once working at Meltwater, you will appreciate any job you have!

    Cons

    This is not a Trainee position. Dont be fooled. This is a sales position, where if you sell good over time, you can get a promotion. They will call it mgmt trainee, but it has nothing to do with that.

    Insane hours. You are expected to work well past regular hours, say goodbye to your friends.

    Appreciation. Unless you sell, dont expect to get any kudos for your many work hours, here, money in the bank is all that matters.

    And lastly, the product just isn't good enough. And working on the purchasing side of a company now, I would never buy it!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get experienced management. Revamp your product. Lower the prices. And take customer feedback seriously!!!

    Pros

    You're thrown in the deep end with a sink or swim mentality - if you're a natural salesperson with strong commercial instincts & thick skin you could do very well

    It can be lucrative & the people below senior management level are often great

    Cons

    Poor senior management with a very telling lack of experience, unstable product, the culture can be very cult-like with a lack of self-reflection & no tolerance for straying from the part line.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Employ experienced senior sales people externally, re-think the satellite office structure & try and re-jig the culture to be less weird.
