Judgmental

Session Assistant (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThe patient's are what keeps you going; you bond with them during a difficult time.

ConsThe salary is low for the hours/amount of work, little room for growth, staff tattles on every little thing to get you in trouble, very cliquish colleagues, disorganized management, and so on. If you work as a session assistant on a four day work week expect to be in as early as 6:30am and stay as late as 10pm. The hours are crazy.

Advice to Senior ManagementBetter pay, don't be so judgmental, listen to your employes on both sides of the fence, organize the schedule better, and don't expect people to be able to work 14 hours and arrive at 6am the next day in great form.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros: Strong scientific team, especially in the cancer field; close collaboration with the other two institutes Rockefeller University and Weill Cornell Medical College which are cross… Cons: The salary would not be very high for the research postdocs or technicians, but… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
