I worked at Men's Wearhouse full-time (more than a year)

Pros

They overstaff the stores so you don't really have to work hard.

Cons

Managers are turned over twice per year. They talk a good game about caring for their employees but at the end of the day they are only out to do the same things other retailers do. Tux Rentals are the worst. It's half of your day and you make NOTHING off of it. Middle management cannot and should not be trusted. Managers dating subordintes, VP hitting on part timers. Pathetic.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop with the hippie, feel good rhetoric. You're a business. Act like one.

    I worked at Men's Wearhouse full-time

    Pros

Laid back environment, promote from within, yearly company trips

    Cons

little room for moving up, males that were chummy with the district managers were the only ones I ever saw promoted, a lot of inter company gossip and scandal, there's a lack of maturity, their idea of playing hard is inappropriate for a work environment

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want he best talent, you have to be willing to pay them. Stop trying to be cool and recognize the real needs of the company.

I worked at Men's Wearhouse part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Normal to good pay for any College student looking to grow and make some extra money.

The "PMDA" that employees receive and can get a line of credit to get their work suit(s) and pay them off every week until it is paid in full.

    Cons

Managers had experience but no school background.

Met every objective and didn't receive promotion even though I worked hard and was the clear candidate but the decision was bias due to a not so great manager (Ps. she was demoted after me and a friend quit).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your education and apply your experience with what you learn. Learn how to work with employees and identify those that work hard and don't mix your personal beliefs with that of the organization
