I worked at Men's Wearhouse full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Didn't Micro Manage
Freedom to handle problems with customers on a store level
Great selection of men's clothing

Cons

Compensation
Tuxedo Rental time was too busy to try to sell while you had 200 tuxedo rental pick ups for prom
Opportunities to advance
When I left (right before they "let George go") corporate started getting away from treating all employees on a personal basis

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only way you can advance into a store management role is to wait until one retires, move to a "problem store", or keep moving around. Left because there wasn't any more opportunities for me.

I have been working at Men's Wearhouse full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Usually a pretty fair up system if you get along with the crew. Team work is essential for your success so encourages that environment. Customers are pretty friendly. The product is pretty nice and the employee discount is %55 off.

    Cons

Slow movement in management and can be hard to climb.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be afraid of the talent you have available to you. Promotions can be used to encourage good behaviors and shouldn't be afraid to promote.
