Advice to ManagementAdvice

I wish corporate kept a better eye on their general managers, held them more accountable, and insisted that they treat the team members with respect and dignity.

I have only stayed because the pay is good, company protocol is very strict with many rules and hours are not consistent

I have been working at Menards part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Pay is above average for hourly retail job. Absenses are excused with doctors excuse. Absent and lateness based on a point system.

    Cons

Company does not seem to trust employees. Watched everywhere and many rules to be followed or you are written up for slightest infraction. Hours and schedule are very inconsistent. Shifts can be very long and then hours are cut back drastically. Only get company discount if deducted from paycheck. Management is very negative. Hard to advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should trust their employees more and be more consistent with discipline. Management should be more positive to motivate employees and make it easier to advance.
