Current Employee – been working at Menlo Worldwide
Pros – Great opportuntities for employees to develop and grow, but it is up to the employee to want to seek out development and improvement.
Benefits (medical, dental, eyecare), 401k are fabulous
Telecommuting - I have to pinch myself every day that I have this opportunity to work from home, but I do work long hours.
Flexibility - My management team has been phenomenal in giving me the flexibility to get my work done. Working in a virtual office enables me to take an hour off in the middle of the day to participate in my son's school activities....priceless
The managers I have worked with are fantastic - they really care about their employees and want the best for the employee/company.
Cons – I do not do a good job in managing the hours I work - but, the company is not pressuring me to work long hours. I have high expectations of myself, and I self impose the extra hours.
Communication - I have not worked for a company yet that has achieved the level of communcation that I expect - but, the Sr. Mgmt. at Menlo does a great job in communicating to employees about the financial results of the company, changes, promotions, employee recognition, etc. Keep up the good work.
Advice to Senior Management – No company is perfect, and Menlo is still a young organization that has so much opportunity for growth in the industry. Keep the communication open with employees, hold managers accountable to the results of employee surveys. Communication is critical, and the managers who are leading employees need to share with their staff the "current events" of the company. Do not leave the responsibility soley at the Sr. Management level - communication is the responsibility of EVERY manager in this company.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
