Technical Marketing, product spec, solving customer demand.

Technical Marketing Engineer (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsStable job, great benefits. Good working environment and people in the team. Great sale force

ConsAverage to worse R&D.. Stagnate salary, small raise no room to grow, no new opportunities. Somewhat lazy working environment, Technology moving slowly and not listening to customer demand and hang on to old style of code writing. Unwilling to change and cooperate to other product lines within the same company to keep on the competitive edge.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe a bit more aggressive on R&D in Wilsonville who thinks they are god and can do anything such as ignoring customers not fixing bugs and not working on new product.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Stifling - too many "stayers" at this company

Technical Marketing Engineer (Current Employee) Wilsonville, OR

I have been working at Mentor Graphics full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Mentor provides a generous work environment, great pay and benefits. The job accommodates a healthy life… Cons: Bloated organization, complacent business culture, management is full of bluster. Many employees here are "stayers" whose goal is navigating… Advice to Senior Management: You're lucky Carl Icahn has grown passive in his old… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More

Used to be better, more fun, profitable and exciting place to work. Just another company these days.

Corporate Applications Engineer (Current Employee) Wilsonville, OR

I have been working at Mentor Graphics full-time for more than 10 years

Pros: Nice environment, campus, offices. Reasonably stable. Cons: Getting to be just about the money. Losing sight of a balance between customers, shareholders and employees. Lately it's been all about the shareholders.… Advice to Senior Management: Forget Carl, concentrating on quality product, satisfying customers and keeping your employees happy will take care of the stockholders… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
