I have been working at Mentor Graphics full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Nice environment to work in. People are generally very friendly Strong skill set across multiple disciplines Competitive salaries Technology leaders in multiple areas

Cons

It is a very flat organization and therefore advancement is rather difficult. Plays in a industry with limited growth and so the companies growth although somewhat better than the industry as a whole is still rather limited.

I have been working at Mentor Graphics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stable job, great benefits. Good working environment and people in the team. Great sale force

    Cons

Average to worse R&D.. Stagnate salary, small raise no room to grow, no new opportunities. Somewhat lazy working environment, Technology moving slowly and not listening to customer demand and hang on to old style of code writing. Unwilling to change and cooperate to other product lines within the same company to keep on the competitive edge.

    Advice to Management

Be a bit more aggressive on R&D in Wilsonville who thinks they are god and can do anything such as ignoring customers not fixing bugs and not working on new product.
