    Pros

Mentor Graphics is a stable company that has weathered some storms and come out just fine. The environment is generally professional but not particularly innovative.

    Cons

Your experience at Mentor Graphics is very dependent on the division you are a part of. Each division is highly independent. From a candidate perspective it might as well be its own company. Base your decision on feedback from others in the the division you are considering.

I worked at Mentor Graphics full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good health care and used to have good stock option. The stock option before locked the lowest price for 2 years.

    Cons

A lot of management politics. A VP was laid off because of making a decision that is good for the company but bad for the CEO. CEO is also too conservative about being merged or acquired thus impede the company's growth and employee's benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do some good planning instead of playing politics.
