No opinion of CEO

I worked at Mercer full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

I enjoyed working for Mercer at Chichester. Friendly people, good services, flexible working hours and good remuneration. Reasonable social life too.

Cons

Parking was a problem, but then I think that's a more universal issue. We had several changes of manager, from UK to US, and I think the morale suffered with the US approach.

    Pros

If you're good you'll be able to make a name for yourself. Lots of autonomy. Not a lot of hours

    Cons

All they care about is billable hours. You can be a jerk, but if you bill a lot no one care. Or you can be the best at what you do, but if your hours are done no one cares anything about how good you are

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Mercer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

wide capabilities, lots of technical resource and intellectual capital

    Cons

No vision, way too much political treacle and indecision by committee, completely run by the US with a culture of spreadsheet worshiping and ultimately seemingly very little awareness of competitors or the outside world. Little respect or true support for developing a sales culture. Focus is not as heavy on profitability of work as it should be and consultants do not and are not incentivised to cross sell.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication, transparency, decision making processes and actually build a sales culture.
