Pros

Comprehensive internship program that provided necessary training in the pharmaceutical industry. Great work environment, beautiful campus and enjoyable colleagues.

Cons

Hard to know what other areas of research are available at the facility.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to provide the internship program and support future scientists.

    I have been working at Merck full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    The vision to be the best healthcare company in the world. They go big! The company is compassionate towards it people in almost all cases.

    Cons

    Slow to change, despite efforts that realize they need to. "Bad eggs" are not removed. They are kept long after it has been clear they should go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Recognize and reward employees that live the leader behaviors so they don't just look good an the "shelf".help employees be less afraid of retaliation for taking calculated risks.
