    Pros

Merck. The reputation in some circles is very good

    Cons

The bloat and the emphasis on process make this company a clogged artery needing a balloon catheter and some blood thinning drugs to get it moving again. Nobody MAKES anything.
Directors in this company are glorified traffic people and poorly trained to judge communications or "direct" it. Being good at what you do or skilled didn't matter as long as you could keep up with the networking and meeting attendance. You couldn't be removed from your position because no skill was required.

    Advice to Management

Clean up this clotted mess, redefine what you expect from employees and return to profitability...Its probably too late - the change would require a massive layoff and the majority of the managers would have to fire themselves. I don't miss the culture. Smaller is better in every case.
