Pros

The pay and benefits and benefits are good. They are reasonalble in work allocated and time it takes to complete tasks.

Cons

They are not flexable for shifts. The management can be difficult and this can compromise the ability to complete tasks and jobs.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try and be as flexable as possible. Some methods for worker rentention might be nice - see how other companies do things.

I have been working at Merck

    Pros

    Scientists were in charge.
    Great work/life balance.
    Highly Ethical environment.
    Very good Scieince performed everyday.

    Cons

    Salary is below average.
Promotions are few and far between.
Merck is screwing everything up. they have very little regard for scientists or the scientific process. Merck uses antiquated techniques and has no problem throwing money out the window for shiny new toys.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It doesn't matter. Merck has taken over like a virus.
