Pros

Comprehensive experience working with people with mental health challenges. Many colleagues who are working heroically in difficult conditions. Sometimes, people in treatment get better.

Cons

Billable hours rule all. Paperwork is endless. Morale is generally low, and getting lower. New CEO is former CFO, which IMHO is never a good thing if you're focus is operations.

Advice to Management

Hire HR people with a clue.

    Pros

    Working with the clients was satisfying and Mercy provides any support necessary. Training is available to employees regularly to keep skills current. Families and clients are given assistance to achieve maximum benefit from programs.

    Cons

    Difficult to locate people in the organization because Mercy is so large. Offices are located in multiple areas of the city and often are outgrown by the staff.

    Advice to Management

    Keep supporting your staff as you do now.

    Mercy offers training and reveiw in current employment status. Strong emphasis on the consumers they serve.

    Cons

    working conditions vary from good to poor. Must be an insider in order to advance. The empasis is on the consumer and not on the employee.

    Advice to Management

    Management should know what is happening in each of its units and Their working conditions. Team work is encouraged but not followed. Unfair practices in hiring and promotions. Long term employees, supervisors and managers may need to be rotated to different units at some point.Quality management needs to be inforced
