I have been working at Merit Property Management full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Freedom to schedule time but will work 50 hrs plus and some weekends- like a realtor

Cons

Infastructure support needs improving - the department management has been going through transition for quite some time.

    Solid company to work for with a great name industry, but pay doesn't seem to reflect the work expectation.

    I have been working at Merit Property Management

    Pros

    Good people to work with and a fun industry. Ability to learn a number of job functions and take on a lot of responsibility managing a number of properties. Steady work/Job Security.

    Cons

    Kind of seems like a revolving door for lower level employees. Lots of transition as the hours sometimes don't match the pay. Often there are transitions and team members are expected to take on additional workload that can cause late nights in the office and this goes unrewarded.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep track of the employees that go above and beyond and consider a better rewarding program. It's hard for employees to consistently put in extra hours and feel like it's going unnoticed.
