I have been working at Meritor full-time (less than an year)

Pros

The company was OK, but some directors were terrible.

Cons

No supervision from the CEO, but my new boss was the worst that I have ever had, he never took a decision, everything was blocked by him until the VP was agreed and gave him the OK, but the VP always was busy and easy solutions were a nightmare.

    Pros

    - many opportunities for growth
    - central location

    Cons

    - lots of talk about personal development, but few programs, no tuition assistance
    - there is a "heart" walk around the building ($1M), but no other fitness programs offered for employees who sit at a desk all day long

Good place to work, though corporate and bureaucratic at times

    I worked at Meritor

    Pros

Company is leader in it's field, hires good people and has decent salary, benefits and working conditions (though this could vary by site).

    Cons

Multisite global company that is mainly made up of manufacturing sites that dictates how business is done downstream to it's customers. Big and slow to react. Hard to move up in their performance management system, except for chosen few.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to the people down stream in more informal settings, not just during fly-in and fly-out red carpet settings. There are things wrong that never get addressed.
