Current Intern - Wealth Management Intern in Brea, CA
Current Intern - Wealth Management Intern in Brea, CA

I have been working at Merrill Lynch as an intern (less than a year)

Pros

It was great to have it on my resume, but don't expect much because there are a lot of cold calling and paper pushing. Not the best to stay at if you are not expecting to be in this field

Cons

It really depends on your supervisor. I was lucky to have a good supervisor who really took the time to explain everything to me.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a more structured training program for the interns instead of just using them to push papers and cold call.

Current Employee - PMD in Washington, DC
Current Employee - PMD in Washington, DC

I have been working at Merrill Lynch full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The organization provides Great training materials, has good materials, great systems brokerage and computer , world class support resources, first class research and development teams,

    Cons

Boys club focused only on one market and little representation outside the USA . Management cares less about the PMD and prides themselves on how many don't make it in the program as if it is a badge of honor . Why waste talent after so much investment???

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encouraging and fostering teaming will make more PMD successful; by deed not just word
