Pros

The company has a huge history. So when you are ready to make the jump to a new employer you can ask for a much higher salary

Cons

not much support. need to learn everthing on your own

Advice to Management

need to give more guidance. New people are just thrown into the wild

    Pros

The pay is very good in comparison to other investment banks. The opportunity to climb the corporate ladder is there.

    Cons

Since its acquisition by BA, ML has continued to be downsized as BA does not have a long term strategy.

    Advice to Management

You should develop a long term strategy by which the employees of your firm can be lead. They are lost as of today.

    Pros

The company culture was probably the best part about working there. Although it was a horrible time in the market, my overall eperience was positive.

    Cons

The actual job responsibilities were very boring and monotonous. Some managers were may less competent than others. No formal training either.

    Advice to Management

As previously stated, some were way more competent than others. I would advice formal training as a new hire so they can carry basic skills with them.
