I worked at Mesa Public Schools full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

As a teacher, I felt my superiors were concerned about me and the students.

Cons

Because the district is so big, workers there tend to be overloaded and overworked.

I have been working at Mesa Public Schools

    Pros

    - Personally rewarding job
    - Good tuition reimbursement for public education
    - Size of organization provides ample professional development opportunities

    Cons

    - Administration unable to accurately estimate student population
    - Class size too large for particular subjects
    - Technology is not equitably shared throughout all classrooms

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would suggest properly staffing your schools so teachers do not have 35 or more students in their classrooms. Too much emphasis on cutting budgets. Very difficult to keep a teacher motivated when they have gone 6 years without a pay raise.
