I have been working at MetLife full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to apply to other departments internally, telecommuting, relaxed/flexible work environment

    Cons

Experienced too many times where people were promoted to a manager role just because they were with the company a long time but do not have people skills. Team and morale suffers because of this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to non-existent morale and improve communication with employees.

I worked at MetLife full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Fair cash compensation
    Complete Benefit Package

    Cons

    Poor Communication to Associates
    Demoralizing Atmosphere
    Training/Development is limited

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what you preach. You want your branding in the NJ/NYC area (example: MetLife Stadium), so why are you replacing staff in NC? Save money? How about investing in your associates so they want to be proud? Being global and bottom line dollars is essential but the key component in staying strong is to have a motivated and excited overall associate base.
