    Pros

You touch many stations and therefore the lives of many people, making things just a little bit easier for them day to day, with traffic and news reporting.

    Cons

24 hour operations can mean overnights or weekends, but that's the way it is for most people in the world of broadcasting. Equipment upgrades are in the works now, otherwise I'd point to equipment challenges.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember that everyone is doing more with less and show appreciation for that.

I worked at Metro Networks full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

You get to be on the radio. You get to work with decent people. The work itself can be fulfilling sometimes. Health benefits were adequate.

    Cons

They just don't care about you in the end. Constantly cutting costs and people. If you don't work in a union shop, don't count on raises. Promotions are practically non existent if you're in operations.
