Pros

The working environment was fun and friendly. I loved the people that I worked with and they really made it feel like family atmosphere.

Cons

The pay scale is terrible! Companies are paying 50-100% more for the same experience. Not a very good structure for promotions or abilities to climb the ladder. Senior management is never promoted from within but hired in.

Advice to Management

Increase what your paying people. Giving senior management large salaries and paying the real workers peanuts wont provide you anything but a high level of churn. And the more churn you have the lower your quality of work is.
Also have a better review/promotion process. People want to feel like they are making progress not that they are not getting anywhere!

    Pros

Broad cross section of disciplines represented in staff; R&D and commercial opportunities are interesting and have strong influence/high impact in aviation market; Relaxed work environment; staff has high degree of commitment to each other; strong history and emphasis on collaboration, teamwork and sharing results.

    Cons

Significant turn-over/attrition in senior leadership levels of the company since acquired by Airbus. Executive management has lost touch with value brought by key contributors. Declining revenue from multiple businesses lines has management in a cost reduction mode of operation vs investing to increase value proposition to clients/customers; high rates of attrition among technical staff in recent years

    Advice to Management

Demonstrate confidence in the business outlook by investing in growth.

  2. Interesting work, lackluster pay and promotion opportunities

    Pros

Intellectually challenging work, lots of paid time off, paid overtime

    Cons

Pay is below market average, they tend to hire upper management from outside the company rather than promoting from within; used to be fun to work here, now not so much

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and you'll calm some of the disgruntled employees thinking this is a place where your career advancement comes to die, make realistic goals to our parent company
