Pros

It's a fast growing company, good discount, they were flexible with hours. Because they are growing fast there are a lot of opportunities constantly opening up.

Cons

A lot of managerial turnover, I had 4 store managers across 2 stores in a little over 2 years. My manager seemed to spend wayyyy too much time stressed out about her work.

Advice to Management

Better pay would be nice, you also need to hire better managers

    Pros

    - Generous discount on merchandise
    - Exciting clothing allowance, depending on the number of shifts usually worked per week, between 2-4 whole outfits for each new season (shoes, pants, top, or dress)
    - Coworkers were friendly and easy to get a long with
    - Teamwork atmosphere, worked together and helped each other make sales

    Cons

    - Low pay and long hours
    - We had to act really fake to every customer, greeting them with over the top smiles, voices, exuberance, etc.
    - Strict on how employees looked at work--the way make up was done, the type of nail polish worn, the way hair was done, etc.
    - Difficult to take time off, if someone already requested the same dates, they will not accommodate, it is first come, first served with time off, which can be very frustrating

    Advice to Management

Give more encouragement to employees to allow a better work environment and make sure sales associates are feeling appreciated. That = more sales and harder working employees, rather than sales associates giving the bare minimum.

    Pros

The salary is competitive for someone who is still in college (12.50 p/h + 3% commision).
New York branch is very friendly.
The experience of working with a designer brand is wonderful.

    Cons

Somewhat strict about taking time off, or having a tight schedule. If you're a student, you'll definitely have some trouble with scheduling. They don't like having to deal with working around classes and such. If not, than there really weren't any cons! The job is fun, rewarding, and exciting!
