“Enjoyable but don't expect full time.”
I have been working at Michaels Stores
Pros – It's fun if you like arts and crafts. You get to help people with their projects and learn about various hobbies. Fellow associates are great, and most managers are great. They're also really good about changing your availability or requesting days off.
Cons – Managers tend to be the only ones with full time, and you'll only make .25 cents above minimum wage. And you never get your benefits because you have to be full time, which never happens. Quite a few employees don't acutally care about arts and crafts.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire more people who are actually care about what the store sells.
