I have been working at Michelin North America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Extensive training program teaches employees all about the "Michelin Way". Benchmarking opportunities allow for travel.

    Cons

Michelin is not willing to move you or allow you to transfer positions in a timely manner. The Human Resources Department doesn't take to time to listen to your concerns and problems. The work life balance is not very good. During certain times of the year you will be required to work weekends and ridiculous hours. Also, when starting out you only get two weeks of vacation and you are told to use them during the July 4th and Christmas shutdowns.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest about unwillingness to relocate employees instead of trying to keep their hopes up.

I have been working at Michelin North America full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Benefits are fair. Onsite bank

    Cons

New employees top pay is 6.00 less then old employees. Takes five years to get on top pay. No vacation to use at your leisure for the first five years. Rotating shifts first, second and third 8 and 12 hour shifts. Only get one full weekend off per month. Horrible buls shop managers and sp department is next to worthless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lead by example not by threats
