The only important things are sales, not the staff, not the product.

Pros

Good learning opportunities and access to newest technologies and technical resources. Good team of people working in consulting levels.

Cons

Senior management only cares about sales. They stopped caring about the products and their people. Most of the plans and goals for the consultants are not shared and a high level of secrecy is always present

Advice to Management

Take care of your people and spend more resources in enhancing your core products.

    Pros

Generous time off, fun culture, good people to work with. The kind of place that pays you 20% less than competitors, but you still stick around because you're otherwise so comfortable. Very easy to come back to, hires lots of retreads that left (on good terms) at least 2 years ago at at least a 20% bump.

    Cons

Low compensation for long time employees vs recent hires & reluctance to exceed 5% annual raises to correct this; instead of bumping a 5 year person making 100K to 110K, they would rather hire someone with only 2 years experience from outside for 120K.

    Advice to Management

Need to allow more time for training; MSTR used to be excellent for this 5 years back & before, but since 2007ish focus has been to keep people billable almost 100% so new people don't get a chance to go to boot camp & existing employees have to train on their own time after hours.
