I have been working at Microchip Technology full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

relaxed and low stress, good for someone who is seeking work life balance and don't care about growth and promotion.

    Cons

not much room to grow, slow or no innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management talks too much about culture which is really not reflected in lower levels.

I have been working at Microchip Technology full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance company, relatively flat organization, easy access to top executive managements.

    Cons

Salary is not very competitive. Limited or no yearly merit increase and bonuses despite net revenue positive every quarter over the last 20 years. Very pathetic company contributions to 401K plan. Limited upward career opportunities within the company.

Perks (business class/economy premium flights, great bonuses, walled offices, etc) are reserved to management team despite company preaches employees are the greatest assets and org charts places individual contributors on top and managers at the bottom (upside down org chart).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1) Improve company's contribution to the 401K plan.
    2) Reinstate yearly merit increase.
