Cons

Future of the company in Boise ID looks pretty bleak. The facility has a short term future (less than 5 years) in Boise ID. Technology is just too old and unprofitable. Micron may survive as one of the last few memory manufactures after this recession but the Boise site will likely become a headquarters only facility with no production or R&D jobs in the not-so-distant future..

Advice to Senior Management

The good-ole-boy system has no place in todays cometitive market. A company the size of Micron needs R6 Sigma or some other form of constructive productivity improvment in both management and employees.
