Pros

As long as you are getting the aggressive work load completed most managers allow you to work a somewhat flexible schedule. Some telecommuting is permitted even for a select few hourly employees who know someone.

Cons

Long hours most employees are over worked; long days, nights and weekend on a regular basis are expected. The norm is you don't get promoted unless you know someone. Talanted employees are not recognized or rewarded here. The lack of integrity trickles down from senior managment not having the degrees and education they profess to have. It insults those of us who have worked hard to fulfill the requirements for our degrees and education.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managment should learn to recognize and reqard their talented employees. You can not be a leader in your industry if you are not willing to pay for the talanted employees who actually get the work done in spite of their managers.

    I worked at Microsemi

    Pros

They had a ping pong table in the gym which was pretty solid. Oh and the free food they had at lunches sometimes. And drinks.

    Cons

The company no longer exists. They had a poor environment. It was always depressing because people were getting laid off left right and centre.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop firing people. Its depressing. Pick a direction and go with it and go with the one thats going to make you money.
