I have been working at Microsoft

    Pros

Microsft has great people and interesting work. In addition, you have the opportunity to have an impact throughout the industry.

    Cons

There is pressure to perform which can be intimidating to some. Advancement and compensation are based on a competitive curve among your peers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to trust your middle management to make good decisions with regard to pay increases and bonuses. A forced curve hurts high performing groups.
