I worked at Microsoft as an intern for less than a year

Pros

Amazing place, doing amazing project with amazing people. Very good benefit and decent pay. Seattle area is generally very beautiful in summers, and doing an intern at MSR is a great chance to visit. They even offer free xbox and kinect to every intern last year.

Cons

1. No free food, 2. no health insurance, 3. only a few chance to get a full time offer (at MSR)
I can't imagine any other drawbacks other than these...

I worked at Microsoft as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Seattle is a great place for outdoor activities.
    Lots of intern activities.
My mentor is good, giving me tons of ideas to think about
Salary is satisfying. ($7400 per month, car rent discount)

    Cons

Company housing is a little bit expensive ($550 per month) and far away from workplace (15 min drive). Finding an apartment by yourself may be cheaper, if you know any friends living in Redmond.

    Recommends
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Microsoft full-time

    Pros

Can-do attitude, resources to back it up, very smart people, great location.

    Cons

Big company -- takes skill to learn to navigate, and Alpha culture can be challenging.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage more broad, cross-discipline role development to avoid over specialization.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO
