I have been working at Microsoft full-time (less than a year)

Pros

Resources resources and more resources. It's amazing to work for a company that seems to have a great idea of what it does, why it does it, and has the information available to help team members execute successfully.

Cons

There's a tendency to not take charge (if you don't take ownership, you can't get blamed). And there's definitely a bit of a blame culture (which feeds the prior item).

I worked at Microsoft as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

You meet lots of very smart people in many different fields. Microsoft has so many different projects going on simultaneously that as an intern, it is a goldmine for networking and to identify interesting areas and fields you want to learn more about.

    Cons

Many teams in Microsoft still seemed slow moving. Since the company is so huge and spread out, I'd often see work and research being duplicated in different teams. They were working toward making it easier for people to discover what others were working on while I was there, hopefully, it is better now.
