I worked at Microsoft as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Flexible working hour, free sodas, nice gym membership, parking well available, once a month a party with wine. For interns there was also a subsidized car rental -- a good thing to take to see around, even though not a necessity for commuting as the company accommodation is just across the road.

Cons

working in offices with very thin walls, if someone on the other side is having a lot of phone calls, it may get a bit disturbing. No free food as google has, having at least some fruit available through day would be nice...

    Cons

most senior program managers in technical teams suffer from lack of base computer science knowledge which makes them make wrong trade offs.

I worked at Microsoft as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

People are nice and you have a chance to learn a lot on the job. Free beverages are a nice perk.

    Cons

Hard to get hired as an FTE. Just when you think you've worked long enough as a contractor...nope.
