Never join DPE unless you have a godfather or godmother

I worked at Microsoft as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Good pay package, no swiping, free food

    Cons

I worked with DPE. The biggest problem with this organization is that most people are hired or are currently employed due to their godfather or godmother. There is no recognition for skills, talents or hard work. Only kissing buts works here. The second problem was hiring people in important posts from outside Microsoft. Good talents in MS were ignored and these managers hired from outside invariably bring their people in from their former organization. They then sack MS employees who were working here for long. When they themselves are eventually sacked, they take their crowd with them. Thus you see many such folks coming and going while DPE suffers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is time to reward good employees and sift out the people who are here for the MS tag on their resume. Your hiring portal is a farce and all resumes uploaded expires and an automated mail goes out to candidates telling them that they were not selected for interview. Most people send resumes to HR directly. Your HR is a joke. They neither know how to spot or pick out the right talent for the job. While other companies scout for talent, MS DPE ignores talent
