I have been working at Microsoft full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Quite an important role
    Great policies
    Good salary

    Cons

    Lot of politics
Lot of excel sheets floating around which need to be filled time and again
Mostly internal focused instead of focusing on the customer

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Apart from the field, other teams also need to engage with customers to understand pulse of the customer. A lot of the reviews tend to be theoretical in nature

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Got to work with some great folks.

    Cons

If you are not promoted on a regular cycle, you are moved out of the company. Stack ranking creates a competitive environment that is detrimental to innovation and improvement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get rid of stack ranking.
