Pros

- many cooperating teams and plenty of career opportunities
- competitive salary and benefits
- ability to work on projects that affect millions of people

Cons

- it's a large company with all its cons - decisions can take weeks to make, some dependencies on other teams might be difficult to get done on time, hat's one of the biggest strengths of the company can be at times its weakness

    Pros

Latest technology and processes. Easy to transfer between a huge variety of product groups. Great pay and benefits. Work life balance for most groups.

    Cons

Often focus is on a director's pet projects instead of what's best for the product. If you are in a group of rocket scientists, then your review rating / bonuses will suffer, and you might be forced to leave the group.

    Advice to Management

More focus for the company. Given the huge number of products, there is little polish that gives the company a premium in the marketplace. The company has been spoiled by monopolies, in which polish is not necessary.

  2. Fun summer internship (SDE)

    Pros

Great team to work with - working on products millions of people use. Good benefits, flexible work hours.

    Cons

A little odd being part of such a huge corporation, where you can see your groups interests may conflict with other groups in the company, and you can't help but root for your own group/section and be a little dismayed at the coordinated across the board strategies.
Depending on the group you get it, you may find yourself stuck in a very C++ only world with lots and lots, and lots, of legacy code.
