I have been working at Microsoft full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Wide variety of career options, self-driven, intelligent people.
Global, diverse company - can learn about emerging markets, mature markets, B2B, B2C, developing a new strategy, etc.

    Cons

Top-down management style has led to fear of speaking out, paralyzing the company.
Too many people act in the best interest of maintaining their job, when the company needs to go through drastic change to adapt to the changing market.
