A changing company that still has a long way to go

Senior Product Manager (Former Employee) Redmond, WA

ProsTremendous resources, and still hires some of the best and smartest in the world. The company is playing catch-up with the rest of the industry in product vision, but continues to be a dogged competitor and has the war chest for the long haul.

ConsMicrosoft is still trying to evolve away from its early DNA of intense internal competition, but it's still deeply embedded into the company culture. As an employee, more effort is spent fighting to win vs. peers than vs. competition, and it's exhausting and inefficient.
