I have been working at Microsoft full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The range of technology that they offer - from hardware to UI - from Operating Systems to BigData - from online commerce to search.

    Cons

They are tied down by the processes that are put in place that hinders development. Collaboration is not the key word here :-(

I have been working at Microsoft

    Pros

    - Decent pay and benefits
    - Your relatives and friends in far away places will have heard about where you work.

    Cons

    - Extremely bureaucratic, slow-moving, slow to react
    - Complacency is widespread
    - Toxic culture
    - Food isn't free because apparently we live in 1975, and apparently Microsoft isn't one of the most profitable companies in the world.
