Pros

Good work life balance
Decent pay and amenities
Gives employees chance to move to a team of their liking, even though it takes quite some time.

Cons

When hiring someone, not bothered about what he has done previously or is good at. Just want him to do the work offered. Considering that MS has a very wide portfolio, it is possible to find the best for a recruit easily.

Lacks transparency in performance reviews. I got my review by 5pm on the last day for the manager to give reviews. And then whatever opinion I had, there was no time to incorporate any changes.

Advice to Senior Management

Adjust the hiring process so that when you hire a new person, you find the best team possible for him based on his past exp and interests.

Even though there is clear goal setting at the beginning of the year, there is no accountability for the same when reviews are dished out.
