Pros

Pay, Work-Life Balance, Travel, Job-Autonomy

Cons

Lack of a understanding about diversity hinders professional & social growth

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have all of your employees attend diversity training/workshops to gain a better understanding of people from various cultures, age-groups, races and backgrounds. The benefits will allow the organization to effectively manage & work together as a team with individuals who may not all think or look alike.

I worked at Mid-America Health full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Lots of PTO vacation time. 4 weeks a year. Flexible and some good people to work with.

    Cons

Lack of communication, poor leadership. The only way to get promoted even if you're more than qualified is to be sneaky and suck up to certain managers. Fiscally unstable and very small-business minded.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give people in the office a voice by allowing their ideas to be implemented. Stop promoting and allowing unprofessional behavior and dress attire in the office. Communicate better with field staff and home office. Provide training for improving professional skills, especially to mid-management.
