    Pros

    Most people got a office.

    Cons

Raises were very low, information was kept very guarded and rarely shared amongst other, even of the same team.

    Advice to Management

    Get back to casual games.

  2. Why would you work for a company that hasn't shipped a critically or commercially successful game in 10 years?

    Pros

Midway's Austin studio was a decent place to work in terms of striving for work/life balance, but the leadership is so incompetent and the financial situation of the company so dismal tha it doesn't have a chance. It's a good group of people who WANT o make good games on the dev staff, though. And the office is nice.

    Cons

Midway is an incredibly unstable comapny, financially. There are lay-offs all the time. Senior management consistently makes bad product decisions. Senior management. has been doing it wrong for so long, how can they know how to do it right? I'm all for internal promotion, but these guys have failed over and over.

    Advice to Management

Quit and work for a company where you will learn how to do things the right way.
